Restore State Arts Funding – The Time is Now!

GCAState arts funding distributed by the GCA was just awarded to only 66 grantees for FY14 — plummeting from 888 awards in 2008. The majority of the recipients are organizations in metro Atlanta.
This reduction is a direct result of a lack of state art funds and the related loss of NEA arts funding!

Join ArtsGeorgia to persuade Georgia’s elected officials the arts community is doing its part, but after five years and a 90% cut in state arts funding, it is time for the Governor and state legislators to restore arts funding so our artists, local arts organizations and our state arts council can thrive once again.

ArtsGeorgia is a National CoSponsor of Arts Advocacy Day helping to shape legislative platforms and messages on Arts Advocacy.

Advocating “Strength Through Unity” at the local, state and national level, ArtsGeorgia is the strategic leader in arts advocacy, delivery of the news and reliable communication options for the Georgia arts community.
